Michael Lukowiak graduated from the duCret School of Art (Plainfield, N.J.) in 1994, studying under the direction of renowned illustrator, Peter Caras. Mike has created a strong portfolio with well-planned illustrations and portraits. His paintings and drawings have attracted private collectors as well as large corporations.

Mike’s illustrations capture more than a likeness of the subject matter he depicts ­– his use of light, color and composition brings together all the ingredients necessary to make the illustration work.

When it comes to portrait work, he catches an extraordinary likeness as well as a feeling that brings the artwork to life. Whether in oil paint or in pencil, his portraits will draw in any viewer’s eye.

Taking a look at his stylistic work, you can see the use of bright colors and creative characters. This editorial/children’s book style has been used in a wide range of pieces - from invitations to catalogs to publication covers - by a wide range of clients, including private schools and worldwide companies like Dow Jones.

Currently, Mike produces illustrations for both companies and private collectors, as well as keeping busy with commissioned portraits.
